How Tough Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

April 15th, 2023 by

When it comes to tough vehicles, big pickup trucks are usually the type most people think of. However, a pickup doesn’t need to be big in order to be rugged and hold up well with a lot of usage. A compact model like the 2023 Honda Ridgeline can certainly hold its own in the toughness department — we’re reviewing its many heavy-duty features.

Great Power

You’ll love what the Honda Ridgeline will do when you put the pedal down, as comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that puts out 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission is standard, as is all-wheel drive.

Terrific Handling

The Honda Ridgeline has great agility, and it always feels surefooted on curvy roads. It also has very solid off-road ability. Thanks to all-wheel drive and 7.6 inches of ground clearance, it performs well even when the pavement ends.

Excellent Towing and Hauling Capability

For a smaller truck, you will be pleasantly surprised with the workhorse ability of the Honda Ridgeline. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 5,000 lbs. It also has a maximum payload of 1,583 lbs.

A five-foot-four-inch bed is standard, and it includes a trunk that offers 7.3 cubic feet of space. You can also get a power outlet and speakers in the bed.
