The 2023 Honda Civic is available as either a sedan or hatchback. With either you’ll get a base 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that generates 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive are standard.

The most powerful Honda Civic is the Type R trim, which is only available as a hatchback. This comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder that pumps out 315 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. It also comes with a six-speed manual transmission instead of the CVT.

Comfort

Both the 2023 Honda Civic sedan and hatchback have big interiors that accommodate up to five people. Standard features include cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats. Power-adjustable and heated front seats, leather upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel can be added, too.

Cargo Space

If you go with the 2023 Honda Civic sedan, you will get 14.8 cubic feet of trunk space, which is impressive for the compact car class. If you’re looking for more room, the hatchback offers 24.5 cubic feet behind its back row. Plus, the rear seats can be folded to get additional space for your cargo.
